Catrin Collier / Katherine John has published over 50 print novels worldwide including 3 Quick Reads, in English and translation in Europe and America, 26 as Catrin Collier. Has had stage plays professionally performed in addition to publishing various articles, short stories etc. Her Catrin Collier novel, Hearts of Gold filmed as a mini-series by BBC Worldwide, attracted an audience of 6.8 million on UK network TV. Her Katherine John crime novel By Any Name, starring Cengiz Dervis and Dan Richardson, Adler production filmed by Tanabi will be released 2016. She has film scripts in development, and is in the maximum library PLR band. She has lectured in creative writing for Swansea University, Prisons, Arts Clubs etc. and participates in Radio/TV Arts Programmes. She was writer in residence at Killay playgroup for children with special needs. TY CATRIN, an Adult Education Centre in Rhondda Cynon Taff, was named after Catrin Collier in February 2003.
Her novel, One Last Summer, based on the war-time diaries of her Prussian born mother is recommended reading by the Holocaust Day Memorial Trust.
She is currently working on a series, The Tsar’s Dragons, based on John Hughes, who founded an ironworks and the town of Donetsk in the Ukraine in 1870.
