David Keenan

David Keenan is a writer based in Glasgow, Scotland. His first book, England’s Hidden Reverse, a cultural history of post-punk and Industrial music in the UK, was published by SAF in 2003 and reissued in expanded form in 2016 by Strange Attractor Press. From 1996 to 2016 he was a regular contributor to The Wire magazine. His debut novel, This is Memorial Device, was published by Faber & Faber in February 2017. It was shortlisted for the Gordon Burn Prize 2017 and won the inaugural Collyer Bristow Prize 2018. His second novel, For the Good Times, was published by Faber & Faber in 2019 and was shortlisted for the Gordon Burn Prize 2019.
