Marjacq Scripts Ltd was incorporated in 1974 as a literary agency. Its founders were the late George Markstein, originator of The Prisoner TV series and a prolific author of books, films and tv series, and Jacqui Lyons, who still heads the company.

Marjacq Micro Ltd was formed in 1984. It was the first agency to represent game developers. Its associate company, Marjacq Man Ltd, continues to represent a wide range of interactive talent.
