Tom Hinshelwood
THE KILLER (Thomas Dunne Books, Fall 2009)
Tom Hinshelwood is a freelance editor and filmmaker in his late-twenties. He lives in London. A second novel will be published in 2010.
Victor is a freelancer, a professional, a killer - the best there is. No one
knows his background, or even his name. For him, it is a straight transaction.
He is given a job, he takes the target out, he gets paid. He cares little
about who his target is, just that they are to be killed. The less he knows
about the target, the better he can get on with the job. And the less his
clients know about him, the safer he feels.
Paris, present day. Victor is to kill his target and recover a flash drive. Job done, he realises that there is a team watching him, and the hunter has become the hunted. Victor knows he has been set-up and suspects that whoever has hired him now wants him out of the way. And when Victor shoots his way out of trouble and goes on the run across Europe, he has to find out who it is who bought his services and why they now want him dead.
Victor is not the kind of man to double-cross. Betray
him and he will hunt you down.
