Philip Patterson

Literary Agent,  Philip heads up the book department at Marjacq.  He joined in 2003 from Curtis Brown where he was a film, television and theatre agent for 7 years.  Before that he worked for HarperCollins Publishers Ltd.

He loves fiction and non-fiction in just about any genre, except for epic science fiction and the sillier end of paranormal romance unless it is for the teen market - not for adults, please!

He has a particular interest in crime and thrillers and, at the moment, he is on the look out for more female crime novels, as well as psychological thrillers, historical and literary fiction, women's commercial fiction, YA and children's fiction.  On the non-fiction front, narrative non-fiction, memoirs, history, politics, military, humour - all good.  Mind, body and spirit, misery memoirs or gap year travels - not for him.  He likes good stories and writers who know how to tell them.

Luke Speed

Film and Interactive Agent, joined in 2002 having previously worked in feature film production, development and finance. Luke represents screenwriters and directors, along with film rights to the extensive book and interactive properties that Marjacq also represents.

As an interactive agent, Luke has represented and sold a range of cross platform titles to date. He is also currently Associate Producer on an established Marjacq repped Interactive IP title, overseeing its development onto the iOS and Android platforms.

Isabella Floris

Isabella joined the agency in September 2003 as a team assistant after four years spent studying and working in Boston, Massachusetts.

Isabella became a literary agent and foreign rights manager in 2008. Her areas of interest (in publishing) are:  investigative journalism (with a focus on finance), popular science, YA adult fiction (especially if having Gothic undertones), dystopian novels and quirky, literary novels.

Her passions are (among many others) fitness, fashion, illustrations, comic books, British humour, good vodka and interesting people with entertaining stories to tell.
