Annelise Gray
Annelise Gray was born in Bermuda and moved to the UK at the age of eight. After completing a PhD in Classics at Cambridge, she worked as a historical researcher for authors and TV companies on subjects ranging from the history of Labrador dogs to Attila the Hun.
She now writes for children and is the author of the Circus Maximus series, about a young girl charioteer who dreams of sporting glory in ancient Rome. The first title, Race to the Death, was a Sunday Times Children’s Book of the Week and longlisted for the Branford Boase Award.
