Derek Farrell grew up in Dublin and is the author of five novels featuring Danny Bird.

Covenant is his first dark psychological mystery, and combines his love of classic closed community mysteries and dark family secrets.

As well as working in investment banking, Derek has been a burger dresser, a bank teller and David Bowie’s paperboy, but he still believes that being a writer is the best job in the whole world.
