Viktor Wynd
Viktor Wynd is an artist, writer, lecturer, collector, dealer, dilettante, impresario & 'pataphysicist. His first book Viktor Wynd's Cabinet of Wonders was published by Prestel in 2014 & widely reviewed from The New Statesman & TLS to Country Life.
He is the Chancellor of The Last Tuesday Society, an interdisciplinary artwork & The Proprietor of The Viktor Wynd Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art & Natural History. Past exhibitions/projects/installations have included 'The Sorrows of Young Wynd,' 'Structures of The Sublime - Towards a Greater Understanding of Chaos' & 'Why I think I'm So Fucking Special- It's All About ME.' He has lectured widely at Institutions such as The British Library, The Natural History Museum, The Barbican, Universities of Manchester, Cambridge, Leeds & UEA. In the Noughties he reinvented London Nightlife & entertained tens or thousands of revellers with his legendary Masquerade & Halloween Balls, The Animal Party, Wyndstock & reinterpreted Gunter Grass's Onion Cellar Nightclub from the Tin Drum as 'Loss; an Evening of Exquisite Misery' where thousands chopped onions and cried. He has a degree in Islamic History from SOAS, studied Art at The John Cass & held The Rosenquist Fellowship in Fine Art at The University of South Florida.
